Oliver Montique is an analyst in Eurasia Group's Industrial & Consumer practice. Located in the firm's London office, Oliver partners with industrial sector clients on issues including the geopolitics of industrial policy, battery supply chains, critical minerals and raw materials supply chains, and sustainable supply chain development. He leads the team's automotive portfolio but supports clients in a broad range of industries.
Prior to joining Eurasia Group, Oliver worked in industrial supply chain research at Fitch Solutions, with a focus on the clean energy transition and the subsequent politicization of electric vehicle supply chains, as well as tariff and non-tariff barriers to global automotive trade. Oliver has been quoted on industrial trade and supply chain issues in multiple publications including WIRED, The Financial Times, and others.
A native of London, Oliver holds degrees from the University of Manchester and Nottingham Trent University. Outside of the office, Oliver enjoys traveling and has spent extended periods in the US, South America, and Australia. Sports on this side of the planet are a little more appealing to Oliver, who enjoys football (soccer), American football, and basketball much more than Australian rules football.
