Trade & Supply Chain

Oliver Montique is an analyst in Eurasia Group's Industrials practice based in the firm's London office. He partners with industrial sector clients on issues including the geopolitics of industrial policy, battery supply chains, critical minerals, and sustainable supply chain development. He leads the team's automotive portfolio and supports clients in various other industries. Oliver is also a founding member and co-chair of Eurasia Group's Critical Minerals Working Group, examining the upstream, midstream, and downstream ramifications of essential inputs for the global clean energy transition.

Before joining Eurasia Group, Oliver worked in industrial supply chain research at Fitch Solutions, focusing on the clean energy transition, the politicization of electric vehicle supply chains, and tariff and non-tariff barriers to the global automotive trade. Oliver has been quoted on industrial trade and supply chain issues in multiple publications, including WIRED and The Financial Times.

A native of London, Oliver holds degrees from the University of Manchester and Nottingham Trent University. When not working, Oliver enjoys traveling and has spent extended periods in the US, South America, and Australia. Sports on this side of the planet are a little more appealing to Oliver, who enjoys football (soccer), American football, and basketball much more than Australian rules football.
