Senior Advisor

Frederic Michel is a senior advisor to Eurasia Group. Drawing on his unique background at the intersection of global politics, European policy, technology, and impact and issues management, he advises the firm's clients on how to manage geopolitical risk and how to craft and implement global impact campaigns in an increasingly fraught geopolitical landscape.

From 2022 to 2024, he served as chief adviser for strategy and communications to French President Emmanuel Macron following Macron's reelection.
 
Michel has been a partner and strategic adviser at the investment holding company Lupa Systems in New York since 2018 and currently serves as chief corporate officer of the Swiss group MCH (Art Basel).
 
He has held senior executive roles in major media and technology companies in Europe, including News Corporation, Telefonica S.A., Sky Italia, and Sky Group.
 
Michel was co-founder and director of the international think tank Policy Network for the UK Prime Minister's Office from 1999 to 2003, where he helped organize the international Third Way summits. He later became a global partner at a pioneering corporate reputation agency from 2003 to 2009.
 
He holds a diploma from the Institute for Political Sciences (Sciences Po) in France and master's degrees from the Sussex European Institute and the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). He was also a PhD candidate at the European University Institute in Fiesole, Italy.
