Carisa Nietsche is a Senior Analyst in the Geo-technology practice at Eurasia Group, where she focuses on telecommunications, technology infrastructure, and emerging markets. She also serves as an adjunct fellow with the Transatlantic Security Program at the Center for a New American Security.
From 2023 to 2026, she served as an Arctic Policy Advisor in the Office of the Secretary of Defense for Policy at the US Department of Defense, where she advised senior leadership on Arctic defense policy, Arctic allied cooperation, and Greenland policy.
Previously, she served as an Associate Fellow in the Transatlantic Security Program at the Center for a New American Security.
