BENJAMIN REEVES

Head of Communications

Benjamin Reeves is a communications leader and narrative strategist serving as Eurasia Group's head of communications.

He previously served as director of CEO communications for the chief executive of Dow Jones and publisher of the Wall Street Journal and as director of speechwriting for New York Governor Kathy Hochul. Ben began his career in journalism, reporting from four continents for publications including the New York TimesUSA Today, and the Los Angeles Review of Books. He also held several editorial roles at Worth magazine, including senior special projects editor, where he led initiatives such as the brand's first podcast and its annual Power 100 ranking of global financial leaders.

Ben holds a bachelor's degree in Latin and history from Knox College, a master's degree in experimental humanities and social engagement from New York University, and a master's degree in screenwriting from the Feirstein Graduate School of Cinema at Brooklyn College. In his creative work, he writes fiction, essays, and screenplays, and directed the short film Dead Drop, which premiered at the 2024 New York State Writers Institute film festival. He lives in Brooklyn with his wife and two children.
