(New York, NY – July 1, 2025) The WNET Group announced the upcoming seasons of ongoing current affairs programs beginning on Friday, July 4. New episodes of Firing Line with Margaret HooverGZERO WORLD with Ian Bremmer and Consuelo Mack WealthTrack will air on public television stations nationwide (check local listings) and stream online and on YouTube.

These award-winning programs deliver balanced analysis and in-depth conversations with leading voices across a range of topics. Each series features engaging experts who offer diverse perspectives on today's most pressing global issues — from artificial intelligence and economic uncertainty to ongoing conflicts in the Middle East.

Firing Line with Margaret Hoover

New episodes begin Friday, July 11 on PBS (check local listings), PBS.org, the PBS App and YouTube 
Hosted by author and political commentator Margaret Hoover, Firing Line remains dedicated to providing a rigorous exchange of ideas with political and cultural newsmakers from across the political spectrum. Now in its seventh year, Hoover's debut episode for Season 8 will feature former Vice President of the United States, Mike Pence. Upcoming guests will feature elected policy makers and cultural figures engaging with current events and international affairs.

Renowned political scientist, entrepreneur and bestselling author Ian Bremmer shares his perspective on recent global events and interviews world leaders, experts and newsmakers shaping today's international politics.  

For Season 8, Bremmer will explore escalating conflicts in the Middle East, the latest developments in artificial intelligence, and the state of US foreign relations as trade tensions mount. Guests include NY Times political commentator and Pulitzer Prize-winner Tom Friedman, former UK Foreign Secretary David Miliband, and acclaimed cancer scientist Siddhartha Mukherjee, among other prominent guests.
