Managing Director, United States

North America, United States

Kim Wallace tracks political and policy developments to help investors and corporate clients navigate US political risk. With decades of experience in Washington, including a role in the previous administration, he explains the interplay between business and government, and the impact of legislative, regulatory, and electoral outcomes on clients' business strategies.
Prior to joining Eurasia Group, Kim was an executive managing director and head of Washington policy research at Renaissance Macro Research. During that time, he was also resident senior advisor at the Scowcroft Group. In former president Barack Obama's administration, Kim served as assistant secretary for legislative affairs at the Treasury Department, where he received the agency's highest honor, the Alexander Hamilton Award. Before joining the government, he worked as an analyst and managing director at Lehman Brothers and briefly at Barclays Capital, where he managed two research units. Kim, who earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Texas at Austin and a master's degree from Johns Hopkins University, thoroughly enjoys playing golf, though his handicap indicates otherwise.
