Sean West has been Eurasia Group's global deputy CEO since 2013 and is managing director for the EMEA region. In these roles he is responsible for key elements of the firm's strategy and management, especially related to developing innovative services and approaches to managing political risk. Based in London, Sean works with top clients in the UK and Europe and leads the business development function for Europe, the Middle East, Africa and parts of Asia.

Sean has been with the firm since 2008, working first in Washington and then in New York. He led development of the firm's approach to Washington-based political risk for financial markets and corporate clients, founding the firm's US practice group. Sean is a noted US political risk expert whose predictions and analysis have been recognized and carried by numerous news publications. Prior to joining Eurasia Group, he was a management consultant at Deloitte and worked at the Federal Reserve Bank. He is an alumni of Harvard Business School where he completed the Advanced Management Program. He holds a Master of Public Policy degree from the University of California, Berkeley, where he instructed classes on US politics and globalization, and a bachelor's degree from the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service.
