Japan Country Representative

Kei Sakaguchi joined Eurasia Group in June 2015 to open its first Asia office in Tokyo. He is charged with further developing the client base in Japan, where the firm has established long and trusted relationships with 40 clients.
Before joining Eurasia Group, Kei occupied various corporate communications and external relations positions with global companies such as Sony and Coca-Cola. During his 35 years as an international business executive, one of the highlights was his experience as a speechwriter for the legendary Sony founder and CEO Akio Morita in the late 1980s. Kei holds degrees from Keio University and the New York University School of Law. He is one of a handful of Japanese businessmen who have never picked up a golf club throughout their careers. And though he was born and raised in Tokyo, he is an avid supporter of Osaka's professional baseball team.
