Former United Nations Deputy Secretary-General Mark Malloch-Brown joins Eurasia Group as Senior Advisor

NEW YORK, 21 September — Eurasia Group is proud to welcome the Right Honorable Lord Mark Malloch-Brown as a senior advisor to the firm. An expert on international affairs, Lord Malloch-Brown will partner with Eurasia Group to offer strategic insight into navigating the diverse challenges across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
 
“Mark Malloch-Brown has served at the highest levels of government, international organizations, and in the private sector,” said Ian Bremmer, Eurasia Group's president. “His deep regional expertise across the world will be invaluable to our clients.”
 
Lord Malloch-Brown served as Deputy Secretary-General and Chief of Staff of the UN under Kofi Annan. For six years before that he was Administrator of the UNDP, leading the UN's development efforts around the world. He was later Minister of State in the Foreign Office, covering Africa and Asia, and was a member of Gordon Brown's cabinet. He previously led FTI Consulting's EMEA practice and was a member of the global executive committee.

He is Co-Chair of the International Crisis Group and Chair of a new Global Commission on Business and Sustainable Development. He is also a Visiting Distinguished Practitioner at Oxford University's Blavatnik School of Government and an Adjunct Fellow at The Queen Elizabeth 11 Academy for Leadership at Chatham House.
