Russia Analyst (New York, DC or London) Eurasia Group is seeking an experienced and motivated analyst of Russian political affairs. This position is available in New York, Washington, DC or London. In this position, you will assess the political risks flowing from political, security and economic developments in Russia of relevance to Eurasia Group’s financial, corporate and government clients. You will have the ability to analyze specific sectors of the Russian economy. You must have a significant background and experience working on the mining, consumer-driven (retail) and/or other sectors. You will also have a strong knowledge of Russian domestic and economic political developments. You will perform in-depth research and will write both short analyses and longer papers. You will frequently brief both private sector and government clients. You will therefore have excellent analytical and presentation (oral and written) skills. You understand deadline and you write in a good, succinct style at native English standard. You will have at least an MA in political science or relevant field (PhD preferred). Fluent Russian skills and a minimum of three to five years relevant work experience are required for this position. One year or relevant in-country experience is preferred. Candidates with private sector experience are desirable. All applicants must be eligible to work in the United States or the United Kingdom, based on their location.
