Ted Obenchain
Director
Ted Obenchain is the director of the government services business practice at Eurasia Group. He leads all of the firm's engagement with US and foreign government clientele, and is responsible for developing new business opportunities with organizations across the US and international defense and intelligence market space. He is also a member of the firm's Operating Committee.
Prior to joining Eurasia Group, Ted was a director of strategic development and assistant vice president with Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), a Fortune 500 defense company. He led the market evaluation and business development team for a $50 million business element, and was responsible for business origination across the US Defense Department. His clients included the Office of the Secretary of Defense, select Combatant Commands, and the military services. Previously, Ted was a senior associate with The Cohen Group, an international defense advisory firm in Washington, DC.
Ted holds an MA in international affairs and economics from The Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies, as well as a BA in political science from Pepperdine University.
He is based in Eurasia Group's Washington, DC office.
