Naz Masraff is an analyst in Eurasia Group's Europe practice, focusing on Turkey and Western Balkans. She completed her PhD in international relations at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), specializing in the EU's political conditionality towards Turkey. She also holds an MPhil degree in European politics and society from St. Antony's College, University of Oxford, and a bachelor's degree in political science and international relations from Bogazici University in Istanbul.
Prior to joining Eurasia Group, Naz taught EU politics at LSE to graduate and undergraduate students. She also worked as a research assistant for several leading scholars at LSE. She is fluent in Turkish and speaks basic German.
