Bob Herrera-Lim is a director in the Asia practice at Eurasia Group, focusing on Southeast Asia's energy policy, fiscal issues, mining and natural resources, and general economic and industrial development policies. He earned a bachelor of laws and a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of the Philippines.
Prior to joining Eurasia Group, Bob was the chief of staff to the Philippine senate majority leader from 2000 to 2001. In this position, he dealt with regional security issues, economic reform, energy privatization, and developing legislation for securitization of mortgages and other financial instruments. Following his tenure at the senate, Bob was a program fellow for corporate governance at the Asian Institute of Management (AIM) in Manila. At AIM, Bob led the development and implementation of a training program for Philippine lower court judges on corporate rehabilitation and securities law. A member of the Philippine bar, Bob spent six years practicing corporate, tax, and civil law in Manila. He also worked as a writer and analyst for the Manila Times.
