Daniel Kerner

Daniel Kerner is an analyst in the Latin America practice, focusing on Argentina and Peru. Daniel holds a BA in political science from the University of Buenos Aires, where he also worked as a research fellow. He holds master's degrees in both economics and Latin American history from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Daniel has done comprehensive research on foreign direct investment in Latin America and the influence of economic ideas on structural reform in Argentina, Brazil, and Mexico. He has published articles on political reform and economic history in major academic journals including CEPAL Review and Desarrollo Economico, and has edited volumes in Latin America and the US. He has lived and studied in both Argentina and Mexico, and conducted intensive research in Brazil. He is fluent in Spanish.
